<h1><img src="/tlr/images/aglogo-oval-smallc.gif" align="middle">&nbsp; &nbsp;UF HSC Access Grid</h1>

<p>The Health Science Center has an <a href="http://www.accessgrid.org">Access Grid</a> node in room C1-11.  This facility uses Internet2 technology to create a collaborative video interaction with multiple remote sites.  There is no charge to use the node and you can schedule a conference by contacting Teaching Labs at 2-2733.</p>

<p>A <a href="http://www-fp.mcs.anl.gov/fl/accessgrid/ag-nodes.htm">list</a> of Access Grid nodes around the world is maintained by the Access Grid Project.  Use this list to discover sites that can support Access Grid collaboration.

<p>The UF HSC is planning to expand its Access Grid capability by providing switching mechanisms to allow other video-equipped rooms to participate in Access Grid events.  As more information about this effort becomes available, it will be posted here.

<p>A presentation given December 19, 2001 by Dr. Mike Conlon regarding the Access Grid and other video resources of the UF HSC is <a href="http://www.health.ufl.edu/aiss/presentations/access-grid">available</a>. Dr. Conlon's talk was presented as part of the <a href="http://www.health.ufl.edu/iaims/seminars/brownbag.shtml">UF IAIMS Brown Bag lunch series</a>, a monthly series presenting technologies and issues in the use of technology.
